Let’s Sing Songs From Around the World! The New CD Is Here!
Children are amazing language learners. No matter how complicated their native tongue, they become fluent in just a few years. Often they learn several languages at once, and manage to keep these languages separate in their heads. Amazing! I’m so fortunate to be teaching in a truly cosmopolitan community. I teach students from all over the world, representing many different cultures and speaking many different languages.

New Songs of Old Athens
A lyrical collection new “traditional” Greek urban folk songs. The lyrics were written by Notis Contoplianos’ late wife, Eleni Karapiperi.
Notis wrote all the music, plays guitar, and sings with his beautiful cello-like voice. Kathy Sherman produced the album, plays bouzouki, baglamas and harmonica. The poetry is beautiful and all the music is very danceable.
